WIP Wednesday: Snippet of Strong in Spirit

Vasil peered around the counter then made another note. “I’m assuming there’s somewhere I can buy cookware?”

“Of course. Istanbul isn’t exactly a backwater.” Once it had been the center of the world.

“Vasil snorted. “I meant close by. You’re lacking any sizable pot or skillet, and I hate cooking for just one.”

Except that Vasil would not be staying. A bitter knot formed in Altan’s throat. “Yes, of course. There’s a shopping district nearby that will have what you’re looking for.”

Vasil continued to make notes. “Is there anything you won’t eat?”

“Not particularly.” He waited a moment. “Vasil—”

He stopped writing. “Please don’t give up on me.”

Altan exhaled.

“I know that look, you see. I’ve spent the past two years cheek to jowl with people and you learn these things.”

Going to GayRomLit

Just a quick note to say that I’ll be at the GayRomLit retreat this year! It’s October 17-20, 2013 at the Meliá Hotel in Atlanta Georgia. I’m very excited. I head great things about this event from friends last year.

I’ll also be at several other conventions this year… I’ll be putting together a list of appearances soon.

Sneak Peek Sunday #5 A Steamy Snippet!

SneekPeekSunday copy

Sneak Peak Sunday is a blog hop where authors share a snippet of a book or work in progress. More snippets can be found by checking out the Sneak Peek Sunday blog.

This week, I’m sharing a steamy snippet from my erotic paranormal romance Close Quarter, which is available now from Loose Id and other outlets.

Last week, when we left our heroes, the fae Silas about to go down on Rhys in the middle of a restaurant…

The slick, soft heat and the flick of Silas’s velvet tongue over Rhys’s crown caused every part of his body to tingle at once. Deep inside Rhys, a chasm formed that could only be filled by that heat. “Oh fuck.” He tangled his fingers in Silas’s hair and bucked forward.

Silas obliged and took more of Rhys into the wet softness of his mouth, before pulling back. The cool touch of air on Rhys’s shaft sent more fire into his veins, and to that aching place inside. Then Silas’s mouth engulfed Rhys again.

Pulses like electricity zinged over Rhys’s skin. God. Silas’s tongue caressed the side of his shaft, flicked over his glans and the slit at the top, and the pulses turned into sparks.

The air around them smelled like a rainy summer night, the windows open. Damp oak leaves and a warm, wet wind that carried just a hint of honeysuckle.

Oh hell, maybe he really was fae.

Thanks for stopping by! See you next Sunday!

WIP Wednesday

Here’s a quick snippet of a short story I’m working on:

Silas pulled him to a stop. “You can’t be serious.”

“What?”

“You want me to go down on you in an elevator?”

Rhys grinned. “Yup. Is it a problem?”

Yup. A little bit more of Silas and Rhys, this time at play. Stay tuned!

Sneak Peek Sunday #4

(If you happen to follow my alter-ego’s blog, I take part in a similar blog hop on Saturday, but that one focuses on science fiction and fantasy.)

This week, I’m sharing another snippet from my paranormal romance Close Quarter, which is available now from Loose Id and other outlets.

Last week, Silas set out to prove to Rhys that he really was one of the fae…

Rhys stared at those amber eyes. Oh God, he really was telling the truth. He should tell him to stop, voice that one simple word. More than anything else, he ached for this man. Fae. Whatever the hell he was.

A grin parted Silas’s lips. He unbuttoned Rhys’s pants, pulled the zipper apart, and then shoved his underwear down.

Cool air surrounded Rhys’s erect cock. A blowjob in the middle of a restaurant. Talk about a wicked wet dream come true.

And that’s it for this week. See you next Sunday!

This week, I’m sharing another snippet from my paranormal romance Close Quarter, which is available now from Loose Id and other outlets.

Last week, Silas told Rhys he was one of the fae. This snippet is from slightly later during dinner, from Rhys’s POV.  Rhys doesn’t believe Silas… and tells him he’s full of shit.

Silas rose and towered over the table. “Do you require more proof?”

He was afraid to say yes. Afraid to say no as well. “What are you going to do?”

“I haven’t decided.” He rounded the table and looked down at Rhys. “Truth is, I could lay you out on the table, strip you naked, and fuck you senseless, and no one would bat an eye. In the end, our waitress would simply come over and offer us dessert.”

Rhys’s mouth went dry.

Ah, Fae glamour. It’s a useful thing.

This week, my snippet comes from my paranormal romance Close Quarter, which is available now from Loose Id and other outlets.
In this snippet, Silas has just sat down for dinner with Rhys and is about to tell Rhys the very last thing in the world he expects.

Rhys laughed. “What are you, then? Some sort of magician?”

“No, not a magician.” He picked up his glass and drained the last of his scotch. Set it back down. “I’m one of the fae.”

Once more, Rhys went taut with shock. “Fae. You mean like a fairy?”

“Well, I don’t have wings. Nor do I fly about trailing pixie dust.” Silas stroked his thumb over the top of Rhys’s hand. “And I am a bit longer than five inches.”

Color drained from Rhys’s cheeks. “You’re serious.”

“Very.”

Sneak Peek Sunday!

I’ve decided to join up for Sneek Peak Sunday! It’s a blog hop where authors share a snippet of the WIP. More snippets can be found by checking out the Sneak Peek Sunday blog.

(If you happen to follow my alter-ego’s blog, I take part in a similar blog hop on Saturday, but that one focuses on science fiction and fantasy.)

My snippet comes from Strong in Spirit, a sequel of sorts to my paranormal romance Close Quarter.

Vasil stared at the wall of books before him. The living room of Altan’s flat smelled pleasantly of lemon and leather, the latter either from the hundreds of volumes before him or the couch that sat opposite the floor-to-ceiling shelves.

He hadn’t realized he was blocking the doorway until Altan nudged him further into the room. The brief contact of Altan’s hands on his shoulders drove a spike of heat down to the base of his spine and he couldn’t help the small gasp of air he took.

If Altan noticed, he gave no sign. With a casual ease, he tossed his keys onto a small marble-topped table by the door. “Please don’t drool on the rug. I’ve just had it cleaned.”
